Daily Life at FinCompare

IT Equipment
The hardware of your choice will be sent to you before your first day at work. You can choose between a Mac or Lenovo and other devices such as a monitor, keyboard, mouse and headset.
Flexible Workhours
With our flexible working hours, we enable our employees to combine work and private life in the best possible way. We trust you to get your work done on time.
Hybrid-Model
Most of us work from home or remotely within Germany, while certain teams are in the office 1-2 days a week.
Company Language
We speak German and English in the company. In Sales, employees speak German, while English is the main language spoken in the Platform department. Company-wide meetings are always held in English.
Company and Team Events
As our employees are spread all over Germany, we look forward to getting together from time to time, either for our annual Kick-Off, the Summer Party or smaller team events.

Our Hiring Process

In most cases, our application process has four steps. However, depending on the position you are applying for, the process may change slightly. 

Recruiter Interview

Step 1

Interview with the Recruiter

During the first interview with the recruiter, you will get a general insight into the company, the role and its requirements. We also want to understand what you are looking for and explore your potential collaboration together.

Step 2

Meet your potential Team Lead

The second interview with the Team Lead will give you a better understanding of what is expected of the role and how you can add value to our team and company culture.

Step 3

Expertengespräch

The aim of this round is to gain an insight into your way of thinking and your professional skills. Your expertise will be assessed in different ways depending on the position, e.g. through a tech interview, a case study or shadowing by a colleague.

Step 4

Meet the Team

In addition to your professional skills, the ability to work in a team is also important. This is where you get to know your potential team members and learn how they communicate and work together, also across departments. This step helps you to decide whether you can see yourself as part of this team.

Wann kann ich mit einer Rückmeldung rechnen?

Wir bemühen uns, innerhalb von 2–3 Werktagen ein Update zum Stand deines Bewerbungsprozesses zu geben. Solltest du jedoch nach 5 Tagen noch nichts von uns gehört haben, empfehlen wir dir, dich bei deinem Recruiter zu melden. Wir streben an, den Prozess innerhalb eines Monats abzuschließen.

Unsere Arbeitszeiten sind flexibel, hängen aber natürlich von der jeweiligen Rolle ab. Generell vertrauen wir darauf, dass du deine Aufgaben innerhalb der vereinbarten Zeit erledigst. Mit flexiblen Arbeitszeiten ermöglichen wir es unseren Mitarbeiter:innen, Arbeit und Privatleben in Einklang zu bringen.

Leider kann FinCompare momentan keine finanzielle Unterstützung bei der Relocation oder Visasponsoring anbieten. Um bei uns arbeiten zu können, musst du bereits in Deutschland mit einem gültigen Arbeitsvisum ansässig sein. Solltest du jedoch deinen Visastatus aktualisieren müssen, um bei uns zu arbeiten, stellen wir dir selbstverständlich alle notwendigen Unterlagen von unserer Seite vor.

Unser Büro liegt zentral in Berlin. Die nächste U-Bahn-Station ist Gleisdreieckpark, oder 10 Minuten zu Fuß vom Potsdamer Platz, wo es viele Mittagessenmöglichkeiten gibt.

  • Programming languages: Golang, Python, JavaScript (React with TypeScript)
  • Architecture: following DDD, Onion Architecture, microservices and monolith
  • Infrastructure: AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS) via ArgoCD and CrossPlane
  • Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Sentry, DORA metrics
  • Testability: Playwright, Allure TestOps, Postman, integration/API and unit testing
  • CI: GitHub and Trunk-based development
